Gutter Tune-Up & Resealing
Slope correction, seam resealing, hanger tightening — when a tune-up beats replacement, we say so.
A gutter system rarely dies all at once. It drifts: a hanger pulls loose, the slope flattens, a seam dries out, and one day you notice the gutter holds an inch of standing water after every rain. Standing water means the system has stopped doing its one job — moving water to the downspout — and it's quietly adding weight, breeding mosquitoes, and working on the sealant and the fascia behind it.
The good news is that a lot of that is fixable without new gutters. A tune-up puts the system back to spec, and when the system is past spec — sectional joints failing every few feet, metal fatigued, slope unfixable — we'll tell you that instead of selling you a reseal that won't hold.
How we do it
- Every run gets checked for slope — water should reach the downspout, not pool mid-run.
- Seams, corners, and end caps get cleaned back and resealed with fresh sealant where the metal is sound.
- Loose hangers get tightened or replaced, and spacing gets corrected where spans were hung too wide.
- Downspouts get checked for clogs and for where they're dumping — an extension often does more good than anything above it.
- If what we find is past tuning, you get the straight version and a price for the honest fix instead.
Who it's for
Anyone with standing water in the gutter, drips at corners or end caps, a sagging run, or a system that overflows in spots even when it's clean.
Who it's not for
Sectional systems failing at every joint. Resealing those is a bandage, and we'd rather tell you that at the estimate than charge you to find out.
What's included
- → Full-system slope, seam, and hanger inspection
- → Resealing of sound seams, corners, and end caps
- → Hanger tightening and replacement where needed
- → Downspout flow and discharge check
- → A straight answer on what's worth fixing and what isn't
What moves the price
We don't quote over the phone — here's why — but the number is driven by:
- • Number of seams, corners, and end caps needing reseal
- • Length of run needing slope correction or rehanging
- • Roof height and access
- • Condition of the fascia the hangers anchor into
You walk the finished job with us — slope, seams, corners — and sign off before final payment. We stand behind every foot of gutter we hang.
